About Utopive

Utopive is a non-profit association that wants to enable different ideas that want to strengthen individuals and society.
We work within a broad group of areas and believe in cross-sector collaborations, in daring to test, develop and learn by doing.
Our work is based on human rights and everyone’s equal value. We want to give individuals opportunities to reach their full potential.

Rights-based work

The starting point for Utopive’s work is human rights. Our starting point is the UN’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the other declarations and conventions. The basis of our work is a belief in basic human rights, the dignity and value of the individual human being and the equal rights of all people.
Our mission is to promote social progress and better living conditions under greater freedom in accordance with human rights. Our belief is that respect for and compliance with basic human rights is necessary and central to the development of societies and that creative solutions need to be given space to be tested and developed in order to achieve that goal.

What We Do

Utopive identifies ideas and initiators who share our vision and way of working. We offer an administrative infrastructure that is optimized for pilot projects and innovation projects. We have simple tools for implementation, follow-up and reporting.
Utopive helps initiators find funding and collaborations via our association. We have a database of possible funds and grants and the association takes responsibility towards potential donors.
We have an open process to identify collaborations and projects. All projects are approved by the board and have a sponsoring board member who is responsible for the project both internally and externally.
We work within Sweden and internationally with actors who share our values and work philosophy.
